To the left is the original and to the right is the counterfeit. Forget the color difference it's a matter of how the pictures were taken. But take a close look inside the squares. There maybe more differences but as of now I only have pictures of the counterfeit. The pictures of the original were taken by me from my original LP. Also check this webpage http://www.musictrade.com/label/italian/trident.htm

1) original has a space between Ansia and Confessione title  1) No space between the titles of Ansia and Confessione
2) There is a S.I.A.E. stamp                       2) A circular groove runs across the T of Strana exists, the first S in Confessione and this groove doesn't exist.

1) Note that the in the original the circles end when they get to the Trident (This is probably the biggest difference). 1) Here the circles never end and stay behind the Trident
2) Look at the circular groove which it pretty deep inside

Thanks to Augusto Croce for the info on this one. I don't have a picture of the counterfeit, but surely you can on the original see that the matrix numbers on vinyl run-off  groove are machine stamped. This might be one of the greatest differences. All the above pictures pertain only to Biglietto originals vs counterfeits. A Semiramis counterfeit is much better done but as always the machine stamped numbers will tell the difference.

No picture on this but on the back cover of the counterfeit there are only the words         TRI 1005 and Foto: Caesar Monti.

In the original it appears "Distribuzione dalla FONIT CETRA via Bertola 34 Torino 1e 5753"

All this shows that the counterfeit copy of the late 80's is still rare and most people can't tell the difference from the original. Note that a legal reissue has all the rights to reproduce it and does tell you it's a reissue. On the other hand counterfeits try to sucker you in believing they are the original, everything reproduced almost exactly but fortunately some little errors are made. This page is to help collectors tell the difference. Also if you find a mint copy still in shrinkwrap or very very new it's probably a fake. Some things are just to good to be true.

For the finale pictures of the originals, sorry for the blurry Images2. I guess a camcorder and a video capture device doesn't take good Images.
